The seal is mounted outside the stuffing box, making installation, inspection and maintenance a snap.

The Model 500 Single Inside Mechanical Seal-The Model 500 is a universal seal designed to eliminate the most common causes of mechanical seal failures. The Model 500's hydraulic balance allows the seal to operate at higher pressures without overheating, and the specially designed spring holes allow pumping action to clean the springs as the seal rotates.
